The world today, is it not a grander, more tangled archipelago than ever before? Everywhere I look, I see the same beautiful, messy fusion I have always tried to capture. The internet, the ease of travel, these things have only amplified the creolization of culture. The distinctions that once seemed so stark—the 'native' and the 'foreign'—blur like a watercolour left in the rain. My work, I hope, speaks to this ongoing process, to the challenge and the joy of finding unity in difference, of weaving a shared human tapestry from the threads of countless traditions, each one as vital and as vibrant as the last.
