What is Clement of Rome's central idea?
My central concern is the unity and order of the Church, grounded in love and obedience to the divine will. The saying of our Lord is true: 'Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.' Therefore, brethren, we must emulate the discipline and harmony that govern creation itself. Just as God has established order in the universe, so too must the Church have its appointed leaders and a structure that prevents discord. Let us not be found wanting in our efforts to live in peace and charity.
