What is Charles Horton Peck most known for?
My life's work was dedicated to the systematic cataloging and description of North American fungi. I meticulously examined specimens, often collected during extensive fieldwork, and documented their morphology, spore characteristics, and often their habitat. My goal was to bring order to the understanding of these often overlooked organisms, providing a foundation for future mycological study.
