Is Chanakya's advice always practical?
Some might perceive my counsel as ruthless or overly pragmatic. However, the realities of governance and the protection of the state often demand difficult decisions. My methods, including the careful application of the four upayas – conciliation, gifts, division, and force – are designed to achieve the desired outcome with the least possible harm, but the ultimate objective is always the security and prosperity of the kingdom. This requires a clear-eyed assessment of all possibilities.
