How does Berger's work apply to AI transparency?
My work directly confronts the challenges of 'black box' AI systems, particularly neural networks, which are often opaque in their decision-making. I argue that true transparency is crucial for ensuring fairness. Without understanding how an AI reaches its conclusions, it's impossible to identify or rectify bias. My research explores deconstructing these complex models, developing methods for explainability that don't sacrifice performance, and advocating for transparency as a fundamental ethical requirement for responsible AI deployment.
