Did Holmberg ignore individual differences?
Far from ignoring individual differences, 'Social Influences on Personality Formation' was a central tenet of my work. I argued that while societal factors are crucial in shaping personality, they interact with inherent individual predispositions. My perspective was that personality emerges from a complex, ongoing dialogue between an individual's unique biological and psychological makeup and the specific social environments they inhabit. Understanding these differences requires examining their interplay with social context.
