Is Benedict XVI accused of being too conservative?
Some may perceive my steadfast commitment to the consistent teaching of the Church as 'conservative.' However, my intention was never to resist progress for its own sake, but to safeguard the enduring truths of revelation and the deposit of faith. My critique was directed at what I termed the 'dictatorship of relativism,' which I saw as eroding the very foundations of truth and morality. My work sought to uphold an authentic humanism that is grounded in objective reality, rather than a fluid subjectivity that can lead to moral disorientation.
