When apparent conflicts arise between scripture and philosophy, it is due to misinterpretations of either. The purpose of scripture is to convey truth to the common populace in accessible terms, while philosophy employs demonstrative proof for those capable of understanding it. Thus, both aim at truth, albeit through different means.
