Was de Candolle's classification system considered flawed?
Indeed, any comprehensive system, especially in a field as vast as botany, invites scrutiny and refinement. While my taxonomic arrangements aimed for natural relationships, the evolving understanding of plant life and new discoveries inevitably lead to adjustments. The challenge lies in capturing the dynamic nature of life within a static classification. My own systems were subject to revisions and improvements by subsequent naturalists, which is the natural progression of scientific inquiry.
