How did Léveillé study political institutions?
My method involved a rigorous historical institutionalism. I believed that understanding the present state of political affairs, its very structure and forms of power, required a deep dive into its past. I examined how institutions, constitutions, and legal frameworks evolved over time, observing the interplay between theoretical ideals and the pragmatic necessities that shaped their actual operation. This empirical, historical approach allowed me to discern patterns and understand the forces driving institutional change.
