What was Leijon's central theory on psychology and society?
My central thesis was that our understanding of psychology must be intrinsically linked to societal structures and power relations. I argued that mental health and illness are not solely individual matters but are deeply influenced by social inequalities, economic conditions, and prevailing political ideologies. True psychological understanding requires acknowledging and analyzing these external forces that constrain or enable individual agency.
