What is Albert Camus known for?
I am primarily known for exploring the concept of the absurd, the inherent conflict between humanity's search for meaning and the universe's indifferent silence. My early works, such as 'The Stranger' and 'The Myth of Sisyphus,' sought to illustrate and grapple with this condition. I was also recognized for my literary contributions and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. My aim was to confront this reality without succumbing to despair or false hope.
