Is Pérez Esquivel's art considered confrontational?
Some may perceive my art as confrontational because it unflinchingly depicts the suffering and exploitation faced by many. However, my intention is not to provoke anger for its own sake, but to reveal truths that are often ignored. The confrontation is with injustice itself, with the systems that perpetuate inequality. My aim is to spark dialogue and encourage reflection, ultimately leading to constructive change, not destruction.
