How can Banerjee's ideas help with climate change adaptation?
Understanding how individuals and communities make decisions under scarcity and uncertainty, a core focus of my research, is vital for climate change adaptation. We can use experimental methods to test interventions that help farmers adopt climate-resilient practices, or to understand barriers to accessing weather insurance. Disaggregating the problem allows us to tailor solutions to specific local contexts and vulnerabilities.
